Mena Alexandra Suvari (born February 13 1979) is an American actress fashion designer and model. She started her modeling career in 1990. She soon shifted into acting, after appearances as a guest on TV shows such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. The film debut came with the show Nowhere, that was released in the year 1997. In American Beauty and American Pie her name was recognized for her performances. After that, she was in Loser (2000) with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main role in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). She had appearances in the independent 2002 drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller film Trauma. She appeared in HBO's dramatic show Six Feet Under. In 2004, she was recognized as an Outstanding Cast member in the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The show also featured her in the film version of Day of Dead as well as The Mysteries Of Pittsburgh and in the film adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been featured in fashion-related blogs and in various magazines, such Vogue and Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. She's been an advocate for and champion for the African Medical and Research Foundation. She is also involved in issues of female empowerment and has been involved in organizations whose mission is breast cancer and End Violence Against Women campaign. She is best known for her roles in television series such as Dark Angel Heroes The Chris Isaak Show Black Sash Reaper as well as the most viewed of them all Rookie Blue. She has modeled many prominent brands including Mercedes-Benz Sprint Canada as well as the Olympics. Missy's filmography includes Stick It Backcountry Something Red as well as Wide Awake. The talented actress managed to shine in both of these films. Missy has a huge heart. She is often involved in charitable initiatives.
